Leandra delivered an inspirational speech at the awards ceremony. When asked for a quote from her book, she said: “Academic success is not a natural attainment without effort and intention. Success must be planned and the planner (you) must be disciplined.

When a seed is planted, it must be watered if it has to grow. You were born with the seed of greatness. You were born with the seed of academic excellence. You were born with the seed of hope. You were born with the seed of glory.  You were born with the seed of success.” Then she elaborated: “That seed is a called Potential. But Potential must be activated. Potential must be watered. Potential must be nurtured. Potential must be cultivated. Potential must be developed.

You were born with an appointment but without focus and discipline it will be a disappointment. You were born to ascend but without study you will descend. You were born powerful and potent but without studying you will be impotent. You were born to be a winner but without sacrifice you will be a whiner.

You were born to be a success story but without hard work you will be sorry. You were born to be fortunate but without careful planning you will be unfortunate. You were born to be a knock-out not to be knocked out. You were born to be better but without education you will be bitter.

Yes, you were born to be a champion. You were born for triumph. You were born for victory. You were born for progress, prosperity and promotion.”
